Our team of joint operational training experts recently teamed up with BAE Systems (Maritime) and the Royal Navy to support the delivery of Exercise Virtual Warrior 25-1, the final validation exercise for the UK’s Carrier Strike Group Staff.
To ensure the best possible training was provided, we worked with the Royal Navy to include support from GDAK, Conducttr, and 4C Strategies.
Following a comprehensive force generation and training process, the exercise has confirmed that the CSG Staff are now ready to deploy on operations later this year. As with recent exercises of this magnitude, our trusted and intuitive synthetic simulation system played a key role in providing a realistic operating environment for the CSG staff and their associated ships to be assessed against. With the support of BAE and their MIMESIS® synthetic product, combined with our Toolset system, this was the first time that the Tactical (Ships) and Operational levels (Staff) had been fully simulated and trained in the same exercise. This led to a much richer training experience for the training audience, and was praised by both the trainees and the training staff as the best way of executing these exercises.
Satisfied with the overall exercise and the role we played in that, Deputy Head of Delivery for the Training Support Group, Darren Cartwright said, “It was a pleasure to come alongside our partners and the Royal Navy to support this crucial stage of preparation and help deliver the assurance process which has validated the UK CSG staff as ready for operations.
Collaboration has been key to the success of this exercise, and we are certain that we have played our part in giving the CSG staff the best possible preparation for their forthcoming deployment.”
